NEW DELHI: A day after former Maharashtra chief minister and BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis said Shiv Sena and BJP "are not enemies," Sanjay Raut has likened the relationship between the two parties to that of actor Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao.
Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao recently announced the end of their 15-year-old marriage in a joint statement.
"We are not India-Pakistan. Look at Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao, it is like them. Our (Shiv Sena, BJP) political ways are different but the friendship will remain intact," said Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut.

The Shiv Sena walked out of its alliance with the BJP after the Maharashtra assembly elections in 2019 and formed a coalition government with the NCP and Congress.
"The BJP and the Shiv Sena are not enemies though there are differences of opinions. An appropriate decision will be taken as per situation," Fadnavis said on Monday while responding to a query on whether there is a possibility of the two former allies coming together again.
