HDFC Bank: Reports 14.4% Growth in Aggregate Advances, Loan of Rs 11,47,500 cr Disbursed

HDFC Bank stated that as of June 30, 2021, its advances were around Rs 11,47,500 crores, up nearly 14.4% from Rs 10,03,300 crores as of June 30, 2020. As of March 31, 2021, the Bank recorded a 1.3 percent increase in its total assets of Rs 11,32,800 crores.

 

Shares of HDFC Bank were trading at Rs 1,498, up 1.23% on NSE at 11.18 am IST. It touched an intraday high of Rs 1,501.00.

Retail Loans

Retail loans climbed by roughly 9.0 percent from June 30, 2020 to June 30, 2021, and fell by around 1% from March 31, 2021 to March 31, 2022. Furthermore, commercial and rural banking loans increased by roughly 25% from June 30, 2020 to March 31, 2021, and by around 4% from March 31, 2021 to June 30, 2020.

Retail deposits
Retail deposits increased by roughly 16.5 percent from June 30, 2020 to March 31, 2021, and by around 3.5 percent from June 30, 2020 to March 31, 2021, while wholesale deposits were unchanged from June 30, 2020 to March 31, 2021, and decreased by around 10%.

 

Accounts

As of June 30, 2021, current account savings account (CASA) deposits have grown by 28.2 percent, totaling nearly Rs 6,12,000 crores. As of June 30, 2021, the Bank's CASA ratio was around 45 percent, up from 40.1 percent on June 30, 2020 and 46.1 percent on March 31, 2021.
