Courtney Love has shared an emotional cover of Britney Spears' 2000 hit Lucky.
With guitar in hand, the singer recorded her rendition of the song, sharing it with fans on Instagram.
"She's so lucky. She's a star. But she cry, cry, cries in her lonely heart, thinking, if there's nothing missing in my life, then why do these tears come at night?" the lyrics to the song go.
The words feel even more powerful now, as the #FreeBritney movement has once again gained momentum.
Toward the end of the song, Courtney starts tearing up, stopping for a second as she says: "I'm actually crying. I fucking hate this when it happens."
According to Vulture, the singer, who now lives in London, has been hitting the studio, recording songs for her first solo album since 2004.
