Chennai, July 4 (UNI) Asserting that vaccine was a protective
shield in the fight against COVID pandemic, Tamil Nadu Chief
Minister M K Stalin today said the state government was
prepared to face the third wave.
In a video message, he referred to the talk of possibility of
third wave of of COVID and said if people followed all the
restrictions and took all precautionary measures there would
not be any third wave,
Appealing to the people to avoid venturing out unnecessarily,
he said if the people followed the restrictions, no wave could
come.
In the event of third wave, he said the government has taken
all precautionary measures. There are ample number of beds,
both oxygen and ICU.
"This government is prepared to face any wave. I know that the
people of Tamil Nadu are also confident," he said.
The daily caseload which had touched over 36,000 in the past,
has come down to less than 4,000 a day due to the measures
taken by his government.
In this context, he said vaccines were the important shield in
the fight against COVID and appealed to the people to get
vaccinated.
