Ghaziabad/Noida: More than 11,000 people were inoculated across 32 centres in Ghaziabad on Saturday. In the 18-44 years category 1,248 people were vaccinated and in the 45-59 years category, 3,998 people got the jabs.
Officials said 1,248 people were given vaccines in the 60+ category.
The total number of recipients stood at 11,411, according to official data.
In neighboring Gautam Budh Nagar district, 6,198 people were inoculated on Saturday across 36 centres.
The Ghaziabad health department currently has about 17,000 doses.
“For Sunday, we have only 17,000
vaccine doses. A requisition for fresh doses has been sent and we are waiting for the supply,” said GP Mathuria, an official from the district health department.
Under the guardian vaccination drive, only 33 people were inoculated at the DPS Meerut Road.
The two centres for women did not conduct the drive on Saturday.
At the District Combined Hospital in Ghaziabad, 400 people were inoculated on Saturday.
