Stance width during certain arm exercises

Hello, in regards to how wide you should place your feet during standing arm exercises such as bicep curls, tricep extensions, overhead press etc. should your feet be kept narrow and together during these exercises or spread out wide? I see coaches saying “shoulder width”, yet in the demonstration the feet are narrow. Is it better to use a narrow or wide stance during standing arm exercises? What makes one better than the other?
