Police: Woman dies after kayak overturns 4th of July weekend

A woman died after overturning her kayak 4th of July weekend, according to police.

Bobbie Egan, 60, was kayaking near the 9100 block of Lawrenceburg Rd. in Harrison Township when her kayak was overturned, police said.

It happened around 12:30 p.m. on July 3rd, deputies said.

Egan received aid from emergency responders but was not resuscitated.

Harrison, Whitewater, Miami, and Colerain Township Fire Departments responded, as well as a crew from Bright, Indiana.
