OK..
So you hit the first late novice/early intermediate wall.
And you quit.
That's the time that you actually learn who you are (physically and mentally) and if you actually belong in in the lifting world or are just genpop.
The way I see it you have 3 options. And yes, I sound like a prick. But bare with me.
1) stay quit, be average by choice. You already have this as your default option *quit when it's not easy*
2) start lifting and doing cardio again for the health benefits, these health benefits come easy. You will be a better person for this, Period. Ain't no shame in lifting just to just have a better quality of life now, and as you reach your retirement, and be in better shape that everyone around you.
#imo The base standard for everyone!
3) decide you actually WANT to do this. And get to it, eat right, lift hard, put your effort in and don't bail when it gets a bit difficult or progress slows
You are your own person.. Your choice! It's never too late to give a **** about your life but YOU have to want it. 35 ain't ****.
Google dave ricks, a masters powerlifter. Dude is around 60 and hitting life time natural pr's!FMH crew - Couch.
