Active Covid-19 infections in India continued to drop, staying below the 5 lakh-mark for the second day in a row. 44,111 people tested positive for the coronavirus in the last 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry’s update as of 8 a.m. on July 3. More than 57,000 patients recovered in the same period, helping the country bring down its active caseload.
