BHOPAL: BJP MLA from Narsinghgarh, Rajyavardhan Singh allocated Rs 47 lakh in April to set up an oxygen plant in his constituency to face the impending third wave of Covid pandemic. Nevertheless no step was taken by the administration in this regard till date.
Irked over the lackadaisical attitude, the BJP MLA has now announced cancellation of the MPLAD fund that he had granted for the oxygen plant. He also alleged a political conspiracy against him and the people of Narsinghgarh.
Singh had allocated Rs 47 lakh from the MPLAD fund to the Mehtab Hospital to establish an oxygen plant in April. "I did my bit for the people of Narsinghgarh but not even the tender has been floated for it till date," said Singh.
In a sentimental message on social media platform, the BJP MLA said that a oxygen plant has been completed in Sarangpur by the ONGC. This plant was slotted for Narsinghgarh. Construction work has been started in Biaora, Rajgarh and Khilchipur. This is discrimination against the people of Narsinghgarh who suffered a lot during the corona pandemic.
Alleging political conspiracy in stalling the oxygen plant in Narsinghgarh, Singh clarified in his video message that it was not his fault but the administrationís. "The plant has been stalled here as part of a larger political conspiracy," said Singh.
He also said that some people are trying to stall the good works done by him and he will talk to the chief minister on this issue.
