The Fourth of July falls on a Sunday in 2021, which means several businesses, including banks will be shut for two days.
Financial institutions will observe the July 4 holiday on Monday, July 5 in accordance with the schedule of holidays observed by the Federal Reserve. Business will resume as normal on July 6.

Are Banks Open on the Fourth of July?
Traditionally, banks, like the majority of businesses, are closed on July 4 as on other federal holidays. However, because July 4 falls on a Sunday this year, the holiday will be observed on Monday, July 5. That means most businesses and offices, including banks, will be shut on Monday.
Customers are advised to meet their banking needs before July 4 to avoid any delays to their transaction and services that normally take one business day to complete—such as cashing a check for example—will not go through until the next business day, which this year is July 6.
It is worth noting, however, that ATMs and online banking services will remain available both on July 4 and July 5.
Which Banks Are Closed on the Fourth of July?
As mentioned above, almost every bank in the U.S. will be closed on July 4 and July 5. As far as July 4 is concerned, that is not a major change from any other Sunday, a day when most banks are traditionally closed anyway. According to GOBankingRates, the banks listed below will all be shut on July 4 and July 5 this year. Even if your local bank isn't on the list, it will in all likelihood be closed so check with your local branch.

Like banks, the U.S. Postal Service and major courier services like FedEx and UPS will not operate as normal over the weekend.
U.S. Postal Service shops will not be open on Monday, July 5, while FedEx will operate a limited service between July 3 through to July 5 and UPS services with the exception of UPS Express Critical will all be closed on July 4.
