COVID: J&K reports 338 new +ve cases, 2 deaths

Jammu, Jul 3 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday reported 338 new cases of novel coronavirus (100 from Jammu division and 238 from Kashmir division), thus taking the total number of positive cases to 3,16,629.
Also two deaths have been reported; 01 from Jammu Division and 01 from Kashmir Division.
Moreover, 497 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and discharged from various hospitals including 177 from Jammu Division and 320 from Kashmir Division.
Besides this, 87.84 percent of the population above the age of 45 years has been vaccinated across Jammu and Kashmir.
The Bulletin also informs that one confirmed case of Mucormycosis has been reported today, thus the total number of confirmed cases remains 30 in the UT of J&K.
According to the daily Bulletin, out of 316629 positive cases, 4048 are Active Positive, 308246 have recovered and 4335 have died; 2113 in Jammu division and 2222 in Kashmir division.
The Bulletin further said that out of 10138591 test results available, 9821962 samples have been tested as negative till today.
Till date 2457566 persons have been enlisted for observation which included 11644 persons in home quarantine including facilities operated by government, 4048 in isolation and 234430 in home surveillance.
Besides, 2203109 persons have completed their surveillance period.
