Accused Ansar, 25, resident of Jharokri village in Haryana

Khandwa (Madhya Pradesh): The police have arrested a person for taking out money from ATM following complaints lodged in this regard.

Accused Ansar, 25, resident of Jharokri village in Haryana, has been apprehended. Police have recovered a master key, 87 cards and Rs 25,000 from the accused. His second accomplice Shahzad is on the run. The matter was disclosed by Khandwa Superintendent of Police Vivek Singh and City Superintendent of Police Lalit Gathre on Friday. He has withdrawn money from many ATMs in the city.

On July 1, a complaint was lodged by FFS, the company that looks after security of ATM machines, at local police station that two miscreants were tinkering with ATM in Hariganj area to take out money. The police immediately reached there and arrested one of the miscreants. The other miscreant fled from the spot.

When police questioned Ansar, he said he has been committing thefts for a long time and has withdrawn money by tampering with ATMs in Khandwa and other areas.
