Disclosing this in a statement here Saturday evening, Civil Surgeon, Hoshiarpur, said the total active cases in the district stood at 121 while recoveries were at 29,390.
Two elderly women succumbed to the virus during past 24 hours.
The Health Department Saturday received reports of 1,692 samples of which six people of the district were reported coronavirus positive. In Saturday's tally one person of this district reported coronavirus positive in which some other district had been included.
As many as 1,763 fresh samples of suspected coronavirus patients had been sent for testing.
The health department collected total 6,68,957 samples of suspected coronavirus patients of which 6,39,157 found negative till date. Results of 2,249 samples are still awaited.
The officer further stated that the district has total 290 beds in Level-2 facility in Covid Care Centres of which 269 are vacant. Of the 35 beds in Level-3 facility34 are vacant.
