PANAJI: Chief minister Pramod Sawant on Thursday asked Goa
police to complete its recruitment process as quickly as possible. Sawant said that more
700 vacancies would be
advertised for the department.
He also said that the state government will bring in administration reformation bills.
Goa police has started its recruitment process for
over 1,300 personnel at various ranks, from police sub-inspectors to constables and others.
“Discussed streamlining the recruitment process and other reforms that will be initiated to strengthen the Police Force in Goa,” Sawant tweeted.
The chief minister said that he will hold a review meeting with the police department to streamline its recruitment processes and promotions. Direction has been given to Goa police to complete its promotions, Sawant said.
He held a review meeting of the home department.
Sawant said that he has started reviewing all departments and that two days ago he had held a review meeting with the education department. The chief minister also said that review meetings will be held with the remaining departments, including forest, accounts, etc, in the coming days.
