New Delhi, Jul 2 (UNI) An unidentified drone was seen hovering around the complex of the Indian High Commission in Islamabad on June 26, spokesperson of Ministry of External Affairs Arindam Bagchi said on Friday.
Replying to a question during the press briefing, Mr Bagchi said India has raised the issue with Pakistan and asked it to investigate the matter and ensure the safety of officials at the High Commission.
An event was underway at the High Commission when the drone was sighted.
On the same night, two low-intensity explosives were dropped apparently by drones at the Air Force Station in Jammu which left two soldiers injured. This is the first instance of an unidentified drone found flying in Indian High Commission.
Over the attack at Jammu Air Force Station, the MEA official said National Investigative Agency is probing the attack and the report from the NIA is awaited.
The NIA is trying to find the modus operandi of the first-of-its-kind terrorist attack in the country.Over Pakistan being retained at the "grey list" by anti-terror financial watchdog FATF, Mr Bagchi said to avoid sanctions, Pakistan has to take stern actions against the terrorist and also that responsible behind Mumbai and Pathankot terror attacks.
