Richard Branson Announces Trip to Space in Just a Few Weeks!

Richard Branson is heading to space!

On Thursday (July 1), the 70-year-old English business magnate’s company Virgin Galactic announced that they will be sending up a test flight into space, with Richard being among the six people on board.

The rocket ship will be heading into space on Sunday, July 11 from New Mexico. The rocket will be the first carrying a full crew of company employees, with this being Virgin Galactic’s fourth trip into space.

“I’ve always been a dreamer. My mum taught me to never give up and to reach for the stars. On July 11, it’s time to turn that dream into a reality aboard the next @VirginGalactic spaceflight,” Richard tweeted with the announcement.

Virgin Galactic will be laughing its rocket ship from an aircraft, reaching an altitude of roughly 55 miles. The flight will last about 10 minutes, with three or so minutes of weightlessness, before it returning to Earth.

Richard‘s trip into space comes after this competitor announced that he will also be taking a trip into space. However, that trip to space will take place on July 20.
