Hollywood’s latest buzz states that two broken hearts are coming together as one, and this time it’s none other than actress Angelina Jolie and singer The Weeknd.
Jolie, 46, and Abel (Makkonen Tesfaye) 31, sparked dating rumours after they were spotted for a dinner outing.
“The pair reportedly spent hours at the restaurant, before leaving separately to avoid raising suspicion," The Sun reported.
Jolie was seen wearing a black silk dress and beige trench coat, while the Canadian singer opted for an all-black casual attire.
It has been suggested that the two bonded over their love for Ethiopia. For those unversed, The Weeknd's parents are Ethiopian, while Jolie's adopted daughter Zahara Marley was born in the east-African country.
A source close to The Weeknd told Page Six, “They’re clearly not trying to hide (the dinner date). He’s definitely focused on getting to the movie business. He has the new HBO series he’s starring in."
The Weeknd was previously in a relationship with supermodel Bella Hadid. The singer and the model first met after Tesfaye asked her to be in the artwork for his 2015 album 'Beauty Behind the Madness'. The duo parted ways in 2016 due to their time commitments and schedules.
He also dated singer Selena Gomez for 10 months in 2017.
Abel and Bella rekindled their relationship in 2018 after they were spotted together at a Coachella party.
In 2019, the couple had called it quits again, with a source telling E! News that "distance" was to blame.
On the other hand, Jolie filed for divorce from husband Brad Pitt in 2016.
They're parents to six children -- sons Maddox, Pax, and Knox, and daughters Zahara, Shiloh, and Vivienne.
Pitt was investigated for possible child abuse after losing his temper in front of some of the children, but was later cleared of the allegations.
Popularly known as "Brangelina" by fans in their heydays together, the two actors had met on the sets of "Mr And Mrs Smith In 2005".
It was Jolie's third after marriages with actors Billy Bob Thornton and Jonny Lee Miller.
