To develop Fatehgarh Sahib as a religious tourism-cum-international pilgrimage centre, local Member Parliament (MP) Dr Amar Singh called upon Union Tourism Secretary Arvind Singh and submitted a memorandum demanding a special grant of Rs100 crore for the purpose.

In memorandum the MP mentioned that two younger sons of Guru Gobind Singh Ji were bricked alive by Mughals as they refused to embrace Islam. They got martyred for the protection of religion and community and set a unique example, the MP added.
