BHOPAL: For an early diagnosis of Covid-19, people should get tested every fifteen days, said Chief Minister.
ìI myself get tested whenever I have a cold and cough,îsaid Shivraj Singh Chouhan while inaugurating Covid dedicated 200-bed KN Katju Hospital near Rang Mahal Talkies on Friday.
The five-storey hospital had 50 beds in ICU, while the beds are of HDU with oxygen support. The hospital has its own oxygen plant.
"We have handled the second wave of Covid and are now preparing to give a tough fight to the possible third wave. If at all the third wave hits the state, we are fully prepared to check its intensity," said Chouhan.
ìPeople should go for testing every 15 days. This will help in diagnosis of any infection at an early stage,î said the Chief minister adding that on an average around 70,000 samples are being collected daily for testing.
He cautioned people not to lower their guards saying that daily count of Covid-19 is on rise and people should take all precautions. The number is thought small but for the last four day the state is reporting a rise in corona cases, he added.
DME Minister Vishwas Sarang, health minister Dr Prabhuram Chaudhary, Lok Sabha MP Pragya Thakur, health commissioner Akash Tripathi were present.
5 senior specialists, 28 doctors
NGO Care India will maintain the covid-dedicated hospital. It has provided 33 doctors and paramedical staff.† The Katju hospital will reduce the pressure on Hamidia and JP Hospitals. Earlier, the 20-bed hospital was dismantled to bring up a 5-storey medical facility with hi-tech facilities.
