Court dismisses CAT Telecom's THB 2.4 billion payment claims against AIS unit

The Supreme Administrative Court has dismissed CAT Telecom's payment claims against Digital Phone Company (DPC), a subsidiary of Advanced Info Service (AIS). Back in 2008, CAT Telecom submitted a claim to the Arbitration Institute, demanding DPC make additional payment of revenue share under the Digital PCN (Personal Communication Network) 1800 Agreement in the amount of THB 2.44 billion, plus penalty at the rate of 1.25 percent per month. The claim was based on the fact that DPC had delivered the revenue share after deducting excise tax in accordance with the Cabinet's resolution.
