Vidya Balan opens up on not being a part of ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’; says “I’d love to watch it”

Vidya Balan spoke about the sequel to her hit horror-comedy ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa.’ Recently, the actress’s new movie ‘ Sherni’ was directed for an OTT release for which she has managed to get a lot of praise for her performance in the film. She essayed the role of an honest forest officer who prioritizes animal’s interests before corruption and poaching. Where the film received a great response from the audience and critics alike, the actress in an interview with Bollywood Hungama spoke about the sequel to her 2007 horror comedy.

In a conversation with Bollywood Hungama, the actress spoke about the forthcoming film ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’ starring Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani. While talking about the contrast between the two films she said, “I think, that would be very unfair to wonder whether it will be able to match. Bhool Bhulaiyaa was great and I think even though they are using the title, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is a completely different film. I’d love to watch it though.”

She also talked about not being a part of the film and said, “Let’s just say I am not in the film. So I am not going to say anything more.”

‘Bhool Bhualaiyaa 2’ is an Anees Bazmee directorial. The first was directed by Priyadarshan and starred Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan and Shiney Ahuja in the lead. Director Anees talking about the film said, “This is a completely different story. Besides the title, we have taken two songs from the original — the title song and the Bengali song. The rest of the film is completely original.”
