The Deputy Chief Minister, who also holds the portfolio of Industries and Commerce Department, today asked the Electricity Department, Public Health and Engineering Department, Irrigation and Water Resources Department, Public Works (Building and Roads) Department, Haryana, regarding the construction works of the Logistic Hub.
He held a review meeting with the top officers of the Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation to review the preparations of the hub. He observed the proposed construction work of all the above mentioned departments through the map and after studying closely, he gave a time-line to the officers and directed them to start the work by completing all the formalities within the stipulated time period.
Giving special instructions to the officers of the Industries and Commerce Department and Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation, he said that priority should be given to setting up new industries in the backward areas of the state and not in the traditionally developed industrial areas.
Mr. Dushyant Chautala told after the review meeting that with the opening of ‘Integrated Multi Modal Logistic Hub’ at Nangal Choudhary, for the first time in Southern Haryana, multinational companies will come and the revenue share for Mahendragarh district will also directly be enhanced. This hub will prove to be a milestone for the all-round development and employment of the region.
He said that this logistics hub would also benefit from the Delhi-Mumbai Dedicated Rail Freight Corridor. The corridor will play an important role in transporting raw materials and finished goods for the companies. Goods brought or carried through containers between Delhi-Mumbai can be unloaded or loaded here.
