DIPHU, July 1: A patient, without any address details, died under treatment at Diphu Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) here on Thursday. Sources said the patient identified as Amal Bhowmik (55) was admitted on June 29 and died while under treatment.

As the patient had not given any address or contact details, DMCH authorities could not contact the deceased kin and informed the police. The body will be kept in the DMCH morgue for 72 hours, after which it will be disposed of. The police have registered a case no. 715/2021 at Diphu police station.
