Taiva Ioane from New Zealand bought her own home last year and she has since filled it with designer furniture to create her dream space.
But the young woman was mindful of her tight budget when decorating the home and managed to save thousands of dollars on major pieces.
Her concrete dining room table was on sale for $2000 at Freedom Furniture, she managed to pick the exact same piece up 'almost new' for $26 second hand.
'Every piece of furniture and most of the decor in my house was bought second hand or up-cycled from Trade Me and Facebook marketplace,' Taiva wrote in a post showing off her home.
'All up I spent less than $2000 on all furniture and appliances,' she revealed.
'Hope this inspires people to purchase second hand and making it look fresh again by adding your own twist. It’s ethical, cheaper and you’re more likely to find unique pieces,' she said.

The 26-year-old said patience is key - she searched for months for a table before finding this $2000 one for $26

The couch was the young woman's biggest purchase, setting her back $1000 - but it is valued at $3000
Speaking with FEMAIL she elaborated on her amazing bargain hunting skills.
'I get it from my father,' she laughed.
Before revealing her couch was her most expensive purchase, setting her back $1000.
But it was originally $3000, so she still considers it a bargain.
She is also proud of her dining room chairs, which she picked up for just $170 instead of the advertised $920.
Taiva also showed off her bar trolley, which she managed to buy for $15 instead of $150, her bar stools which were half price and a $36 rug which retails at $149.
She also picked up her guest bed for just $70 instead of shelling out $500.
And people were impressed by Taiva's cheap finds with hundreds of bargain hunters commenting and liking the young woman's post.

The young woman set her spare room up for just $70, the bed frame is valued at $450 alone

One woman tagged her partner and said: 'It's doable', as if she were in awe.
'Well done, you don't have to spend big to make it homey,' another woman said.
Taiva also shared tips in the comments, one woman said she was 'so jealous' of her concrete table find.
'Honestly I looked on fb marketplace for months and almost gave in to buying a normal table then I came across this! Patience is key,' she said.
Some loved the second-hand shopping for ethical reasons.

The youth worker is passionate about buying things second hand and said they can always be upcycled

She bought this trolley for $15 before seeing the same one advertised for $150
'Love this. We too love swapping, upcycling, second hand etc. It's so rewarding and better for our poor earth,' one woman said.
Others agreed that second-hand furniture was key to cheaper refits.
'You can buy great-quality stuff second hand cheaper than the cheap, nasty new stuff,' one woman confirmed.
Taiva is passionate about recycling and loves the aesthetic she has been able to create since moving into her first home.
