New on Netflix, Amazon, Disney+, Hulu and more

From classic movies to original series, these are the new and notable titles coming to popular streaming services in July 2021.

Big titles this month include a new Warner Bros. film debuting in theaters and on HBO Max, "Space Jam: A New Legacy"; the return of several summer reality series; a new season of "Ted Lasso" on Apple TV+; and more.

Available July 1 on HBO Max: "No Sudden Move"

Steven Soderbergh is at the helm of this crime thriller set in 1955 and including Don Cheadle, Benicio del Toro and Jon Hamm in its star-studded ensemble cast.

"It's yet another instantly immersive, richly layered and beautifully shot chapter in one of the most impressive directing careers of our time," writes Richard Roeper (Chicago Sun-Times).

Available July 1 on Hulu and Peacock: "The Mighty Ones" Season 2

"The Mighty Ones" explore a backyard and the creatures within it when the second season of this DreamWorks series premieres on Hulu.

Josh Brener ("Silicon Valley) and Jimmy Tatro ("Home Economics) lend their voices to the animated children's series.

Available July 1 on Hulu: "Bohemian Rhapsody"

Rami Malek earned an Academy Award for Best Actor for his embodiment of Queen's lead singer Freddie Mercury in this musical biopic.

Vulture film reviewer David Edelstein says: "If you're immune to Malek, there's no hope for you."

Available July 1 on HBO Max: "Scream"

If you're in the mood for horror this month, this creepy film franchise starring Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox and David Arquette may be worth a revisit.

All three films from the original trilogy arrive on HBO Max the same day.

Available July 1 on Peacock: "Smother" Season 1

Set in a rugged, coastal town in Ireland, "Smother" centers around a matriarch (Dervla Kirwan) investigating the death of her controlling husband.

All six one-hour episodes arrive on Peacock on the first of the month.

Available July 1 on Netflix: "Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery"

A secret agent and playboy is just one of the characters played by Mike Myers ("Saturday Night Live") in this popular comedy.

All three Austin Powers films return to Netflix the same day.

Harrison Ford fights airplane hijackers as the gritty commander in chief in "Air Force One."

Available July 2 on Amazon Prime Video: "The Tomorrow War"

Chris Pratt heads 30 years into the future to fight in a war that humanity is losing.

This Amazon Prime Video sci-fi thriller premieres exclusively on the streaming platform this month.

Available July 2 on Hulu: "Summer of Soul"

Ahmir "Questlove" Thompson adds filmmaker to his resume with this new musical documentary film for Hulu.

"Summer of Soul" transports viewers to the the 1969 Harlem Cultural Festival and features never-before-seen concert performances by Stevie Wonder, Nina Simone, B.B. King and more history-making musicians.

Available July 2 on Disney+: "The Sandlot"

Just in time for summer, this coming-of-age baseball flick, set in 1962, arrives on Disney+ this month.

Both "The Sandlot" and "The Sandlot 2" are available to stream starting July 2.

Available July 2 on Hulu: "Bill & Ted Face the Music"

Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter are two middle-aged dads trying to create a hit song to save the human race in this long-awaited sequel.

The Boston Globe's Ty Burr calls it "[a] sweet, dumb, unnecessary, and absurdly charming movie."

Available July 3 on Netflix: "Grey's Anatomy" Season 17

Catch up with Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo) and the staff of Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital in the latest season of ABC's "Grey's Anatomy."

The long-running medical drama has been renewed for a forthcoming eighteenth season.

Available July 4 on Netflix: "We The People" Season 1

Janelle Monáe, H.E.R., Adam Lambert, Brandi Carlile and more artists perform musical U.S. civics lessons in "We The People."

The 10-episode Netflix series — each episode is three minutes — was executive produced by Barack and Michelle Obama.

Available July 7 on Disney+: "Monsters at Work" Series Premiere

The spin-off series of the popular children's film franchise picks up the day after the Monsters, Incorporated power plant starts harvesting the laughter of children to fuel the city of Monstropolis.

New episodes premiere on Wednesdays on Disney+.

Snuggle up with your kitty and binge this new docuseries about cat people.

This feel-good series centered around felines and their human owners premieres July 7 on Netflix.

Nine years after the original blogger's website went dark, "Gossip Girl" returns with this new series from HBO Max.

Like the original teen drama series from The CW, this HBO Max original follows the lives of private school students in New York's Upper East Side.

Available July 8 on HBO Max: "The Dog House: UK" Season 2 Premiere

Homeless dogs are matched with eager owners in this HBO Max series set inside a British animal rescue center.

The second season of "The Dog House: UK" premieres on July 8.

Available July 9 on Disney+: "Black Widow"

Marvel's Natasha Romanoff, aka Black Widow, gets her own breakout film in this action-packed superhero movie starring Scarlett Johansson and Florence Pugh.

"Black Widow" hits theaters the same day as it arrives to Disney+ for subscribers with Premier Access. An additional fee is required to stream the film on Disney+.

A single Irish teacher suffers a nervous breakdown in this comedy series from the other side of the pond.

The second season of Aisling Bea's "This Way Up" hits Hulu on July 9.

A teen on the autism spectrum seeks more independence in this heartfelt Netflix series.

Connie Britton and Steve Zahn star in this six-episode limited series from HBO, a social satire set at an exclusive Hawaiian resort.

Jennifer Coolidge, Alexandra Daddario and Jake Lacy round out the cast.

Available July 13 on Paramount+: "A Quiet Place Part II"

The horror sequel, directed by John Krasinski and starring Emily Blunt, heads to the Paramount+ streaming service this month.

Netflix's latest preschool show follows Ridley and her friends as they protect the Museum of Natural History's secret -- everything comes alive at night.

Mindy Kaling's coming-of-age series about an Indian American high school student dealing with the death of her father is back with new episodes.

Los Angeles Times TV critic Lorraine Ali writes: "So many themes hit home in this delightfully warm and funny series, but particularly if your parents are from somewhere else and you grew up here. Never did I ever think I'd see our story on TV."

Available July 16 on HBO Max: "Space Jam: A New Legacy"

Following in Michael Jordan's footsteps, NBA star LeBron James teams up with the Looney Tunes for this highly-anticipated sequel.

"Space Jam: A New Legacy" hits theaters July 16 and will be only be available on streaming for HBO Max subscribers with the $14.99/month ad-free plan.

Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson fall for each other in this teen romance flick based on the novels by Stephenie Meyer.

All five films in the vampire saga are available for streaming on Netflix beginning July 16.

"Drake & Josh" alum Josh Peck stars in the Disney+ reboot series of the 1989 comedy starring Tom Hanks.

Peck plays a U.S. Marshal who inherits an unruly dog as his partner.

Fans can binge the latest season of AMC's long-running zombie series on Netflix later this month.

The series has been renewed for an eleventh and final season.

The music documentary series gets the reboot treatment on Paramount+ this month, with episodes centering around Ricky Martin, New Kids On The Block, Huey Lewis and more artists.
