Indian Cricketer Rohit Sharma has sold his Lonavala villa worth Rs 5.25 crore.
According to a report by squarefeatindia.com, Rohit Sharma has sold the villa for an amount less than what he had bought in 2016. He had bought the villa in January 2016 for Rs 6 crore.
Rohit Sharma sold his villa in May 2021. The property is spread across 6329 sq.ft and it is villa numbered 15, located in the project named Discovery by S2 reality.
The villa was purchased by Mumbai-based buyer Sushma Ashok Saraf, reported Hindustan Times.
According to squarefeatindia.com and zapkey.com, which accessed the registration documents, the agreement date of the deal was May 29, 2021 and Rohit Sharma has paid Rs 26.25 lakh as the stamp duty for this deal. The deal was registered on June 1, 2021.
Lonavala is one of the most popular weekend destinations and many prefer buying their second home and famrhouses there.
While the real-estate sector was hit during COVID-19, a ratings agency earlier had said that the residential real estate demand will touch pre-pandemic levels only after 2022-23.
The top-six markets of Bengaluru, Hyderabad, the National Capital Region (NCR), Kolkata, Pune and Mumbai will collectively grow 5-10% by area in 2021-22 on improved affordability and work-from-home needs, Crisil said.
Pune and Mumbai will show a contraction because of the stamp duty cut-fuelled demand in the previous fiscal year, it said.
“Demand in Bengaluru, Hyderabad, the National Capital Region (NCR) and Kolkata is set to rise 40-45% this fiscal after plunging 25-45% last fiscal, propelled by better affordability and lower base,” its director Isha Chaudhary said.
The Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR) and Pune are likely to see a contraction of 10-20% this fiscal, after a 5-15% growth last fiscal, with end-users concluding transactions to benefit from lower stamp duty, Chaudhary added.
