Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has once again demanded from the Central Government to ensure the supply of vaccines in sufficient quantity to the state in a planned manner.

CM Gehlot, while reviewing the vaccination program in the state through video conference from the Chief Minister's residence on Wednesday, said that taking the vaccination as a campaign in Rajasthan, the first dose was administered to the people. For these people to get the second dose on time, proper availability of the vaccine is essential.

He said that in July, about 75 lakh people are to be given a second dose in the state, but only 65 lakh 20 thousand doses are to be allotted to Rajasthan in the first fortnight of July. Ashok Gehlot said that the central government should ensure the supply of vaccines in Rajasthan according to the speed of vaccination so that people can be given the second dose on time.

He said that 75 percent share has been earmarked for government hospitals and 25 percent for private hospitals in the allocation of vaccines in the state in July by the central government, whereas the participation of private hospitals in the vaccination so far in the state is only 2 percent. In such a situation, there is also a need to change the guidelines for the allocation of vaccines. He said that third-wave cases have started coming up in many countries of the world and many states of the country.
