In recent times we have seen a trend of increasing smartphone prices in the country. Recently, Redmi Note 10 received a price hike for the third time in a row, and now Oppo is following the suit. A new report suggests that Oppo has increased the pricing of a few devices by up to Rs 1000. This includes Oppo F19, Oppo A53s, Oppo A15s, Oppo A15 and Oppo A11k.
The price hike has already begun to reflect on popular e-commerce websites like Amazon and Flipkart. These entry-level and midrange smartphones are priced between Rs 9,000 to Rs 20,000.
With the price bump in effect, Oppo A11K and Oppo A15 are available at Rs 8990, up from Rs 8490. Whereas Oppo A15s, Oppo A53s and Oppo F19 are available at Rs 12490, Rs 17,990 and Rs 18,900, respectively, after seeing a price increase of Rs 1,000.
Oppo A11k and Oppo A15 are the two entry-level devices that have received a price hike. These smartphones feature HD+ displays, Helio P35 chipsets and 4230mAh batteries. In the camera department, Oppo A11k sports a dual-camera rear camera setup consisting of a 13-megapixel primary shooter and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. Whereas on the front, it gets a 5-megapixel shooter for selfies. The only change on Oppo A15's camera system is the additional 2-megapixel macro shooter.
Moving forward to the Oppo A15s, which is a slightly pricier version of the Oppo A15. The smartphone is mostly identical to Oppo A15 in terms and specs and design. That said, three things differentiate these devices: the first two being RAM and storage, and the third, a higher resolution front camera.
The Oppo A53s 5G is one of the cheapest 5G phones in India. It features a 6.5-inch HD+ display with a brightness of 480 nits. The smartphone is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC coupled with Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. It is an octa-core chipset built on a 7nm manufacturing process and clocked at 2.2GHz. The Oppo A53s 5G comes with a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 13-megapixel primary shooter, a 2-megapixel depth sensor and a 2-megapixel macro lens. Whereas on the front, it gets an 8-megapixel shooter for selfies.
Oppo F19 sports a 6.43-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a brightness of 430 nits. It is further powered by a Snapdragon 662 SoC and paired with Adreno 610 GPU. The smartphone gets a triple rear camera setup, including a 48-megapixel primary sensor, a 2-megapixel macro shooter and a 2-megapixel depth camera. While on the front, it features a 16-megapixel camera for selfies. Finally, Oppo F19 is powered by a 5000mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging.
