Chandigarh: 53,400 Panjab University students take 49 exams online

CHANDIGARH: A total of 53,400 students of under/ postgraduate/other professional courses of Panjab University gave exams online on the third day of the examinations on Monday.
PU authorities conducted 49 different exams in two slabs through online mode. Controller of examination Dr Jagat Bhushan said 49 exams were conducted in two shifts of 9.30 am to 12.30 pm and 1.30 pm to 4.30 pm.
During the morning slot,1500 students appeared in 32 exams and 41,900 students in 17 exams in the evening. Bhushan said 2.3 lakh students will be taking various exams being conducted by PU over the span of 34 days. The second semester examinations will be starting from July 9 to compensate for the delayed start of second semester.
