Himachal reports first case of delta plus variant of COVID-19

Shimla, Jul 1 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh on Thursday reported the first case of Delta plus variant of COVID-19, an official told UNI.
Deputy Commissioner Kangra Dr Nipun Jindal confirmed that a woman belonging to Palampur town of Kangra district was tested positive for the Delta Plus variant.
The patient is said to be out of danger and recovering from the pandemic.
In the wake of new development Chief Medical Officer Kangra urged people to not rush toward the vaccination centre in panic.
