A group of Bajrang Dal activists barged into a Aligarh temple and hammered down the foundation stone of a water cooler bearing the name of Samajwadi party leader and a Muslim politician named Salman Shahid, according to a report by Times of India.
According to the report, Salman- who is SP's youth wing state treasurer, had donated the water cooler to Khereshwar Mahadev temple in Aliagrh’s Lodha area two days ago.
Meanwhile, on Wednesday, the temple committee filed a police complaint alleging that some “anti-social elements” entered into the temple and destroyed the stone. The committee head, Satyapal Singh, has demanded a case and probe into the matter.

Even i was surprised to see this. Addressing them as 'Activists'. Bajrang Dal should be banned. They are GOONS.
Karan Chaudhary, an activist of the saffron outfit who smashed the marble foundation stone with a hammer on Tuesday, said, “We cannot tolerate the name of a person from another community inside the temple premises”.
According to the report, the water cooler was inaugurated in the presence of the temple’s priest, a prominent ‘mahant’ and several other seers who can be seen giving blessings to Shahid in the photographs taken on the occasion.
Shahid alleged that some people are bent on creating communal tensions among the society instead of living in harmony and uniting people. Shahid said that it was inaugurated by Swami Purna Nand Puri, a prominent priest.
The alleged video went viral on Twitter and twitterati reacted to the destruction, some in support of the act, while some calling out the 'activists' for the horrendous use of power. One user wrote, "We need more #BajrangDal, more power to you guys", while another Twitter user took pot shots at the organisation and wrote, "Bajrang Dal should be banned. They are GOONS".
