Megastar Amitabh Bachchan's granddaughter Navya Naveli Nanda and Jaaved Jaffery's son Meezaan have often been in the news for their rumoured relationship.
The two often leave netizens impressed with their social media exchanges, however they have time and again maintained that they are 'just friends'.
Now, in one of his interviews, Meezaan opened up about his and Navya's link-up rumours and said that it became awkward for him to enter the Bachchan's house, Jalsa.
However, he told ETimes that the awkwardness is gone now and he did visit Jalsa again when the Bachchans had hosted a Diwali bash. The 'Malaal' actor called Jalsa a monument and said that one cannot be missed by the paparazzi there.
During the interview, Meezaan also clarified that he and Navya became friends because of his sister and Navya being best friends. His sister and Navya studied together in New York.
The rumours of their relationship first sparked off when they were spotted together in town for a movie date. However, the two never shied away from showering praises on each other on social media.
Meanwhile, on the work front, the Junior Jaffrey was last seen romancing Sanjay Leela Bhansali's niece Sharmin Segal in 'Malaal'. He is all set to play the lead in Priyadarshan directorial 'Hungama 2'. It also stars Paresh Rawal, Shilpa Shetty and Pranitha Subhash.
The movie will be releasing on Disney+ Hotstar on July 23.
The film, a sequel to the director's 2003 hit comedy of the same name, was slated to hit theatres on August 14 this year. But in May, the makers had said that 'Hungama 2' will skip theatres and release directly on an OTT platform as cinema houses remain shut due to the deadly second wave of the coronavirus pandemic.
