The Yankees will have to wait a little longer for a chance to rebound from Thursday morning’s disastrous loss.
Their Thursday matinee against the Angels in The Bronx was postponed due to rain in the forecast. The game will be made up on Aug. 16 at Yankee Stadium.

The Yankees were facing a quick turnaround from their crushing Wednesday loss – which ended early Thursday morning because of a rain delay – in which Aroldis Chapman gave up a game-tying grand slam in the ninth and Lucas Luetge gave up three more runs in the 11-8 defeat.
“Terrible loss,” Aaron Boone said afterward.
Jordan Montgomery will pitch Friday in the opening game of the Subway Series against the Mets, while Gerrit Cole has been pushed back to Saturday.
