Oasis Petroleum, Inc. engages in the acquisition, development, and exploration of onshore, unconventional oil and natural gas resources. It operates through the Exploration and Production (E&P), and Midstream segments. The E&P segment acquires and develops oil and gas properties. The Midstream segment performs natural gas gathering, compression, processing, and gas lift supply; crude oil gathering, terminating, and transportation; produced and flowback water gathering and disposal; and freshwater distribution. The company was founded by Thomas B. Nusz and Taylor L. Reid on March 8, 2007 and is headquartered in Houston, TX.
