TIBCO has made several enhancements to TIBCO Spotfire, TIBCO Streaming, and TIBCO Data Science, that will enable users to get faster, more accurate insights into their data by leveraging analytics while preparing themselves for the adoption of a hyper-converged analytics framework.

TechSoft International, TIBCO’s sole Africa-based partner, says the new innovations and capabilities, that reduce the amount of time it takes to take business events to analytics and then transform these into actionable insights, will be made available on a single platform.

"Hyperconverged analytics is still a fairly new concept to local customers. In essence, it brings together the power of analytics tools into a centralised environment making it reusable for all stakeholders, data scientists, business analysts, and line-of-business leaders," says Tony Nkuna senior consultant and integration specialist at TechSoft International.

According to him, this is the first step in the democratisation of analytics. The new enhancements make analytics easier for the experts, and put them in the hands of more people in the organisation so that businesses can get the insights they need to be competitive more quickly.

Announced at the recent TIBCO Analytics Forum 2021, one key feature is the extension of TIBCO Spotfire Mods, a visualisation tool that supports no-code data science functionality, advanced streaming analytics, and a modern, platform-agnostic approach to ModelOps.

TIBCO has also combined the power of analytics with TIBCO's data management and data virtualisation solutions into this framework, which enables users to scale analytics on the go and report on any data within the organisation.

Nkuna says the improvements focus on the reuse of analytics components in a ModelOps environment as well as the automation of analytics. Other updates include an expanded at-scale compute for SQL and ML functionality with TIBCO Data Science.

When users combine this functionality with the soon to be available TIBCO ModelOps, they can simplify model deployment and monitoring, he explains.
