The Pet Rumble Mode is inspired by Among Us. Available in custom mode as well, this mode basically challenges the players into completing some specified tasks while there’s a ‘Prankstar’ hidden among them whose main objective is to eliminate other players before they figure out who’s the real culprit. This mode requires decisive gameplay & discreet skills in order to win the game. New features like mini-games and the mini trap are also added to make the gameplay more interesting.
Following the overwhelming success of InnerSloth’s Among Us, many prominent game developers have introduced the social deduction gameplay modes in their own games. The Chinese version of Call of Duty: Mobile also had introduced a similar game mode titled ‘Werewolf’ where players scavenge for weapons & other items while the imposter tries to silently eliminate all the 11 other players.
Free Fire also joined the cue when they announced the Pet Rumble mode in early June. Now, Garena plans to further improve the Pet Rumble mode in order to engage players further in the game, especially in a casual & fun Free Fire experience.
Video games these days are primarily designed to generate more social engagements on their platforms. Therefore, it’ll be interesting to see other popular games follow the same path & introduce similar elements in their games as well.
