Dilip Kumar admitted to the hospital due to age-related health issues, confirms the actor's family friend Faisal Farooqui while sharing latest health update

Veteran actor Dilip Kumar, who had been admitted to a Mumbai hospital earlier this month following complaints of breathlessness, was yet again taken to the Hinduja Hospital after he complained of breathing issues. Now, the actor's family friend Faisal Farooqui has taken to Dilip Kumar's official Twitter handle that he and the actor's wife Saira Banu manage to share the latest health update on the 98-year-old actor. While revealing that the actor is suffering from issues related to age, Faisal tweeted, 'Dilip Saab has been admitted to Hinduja Hospital, Khar to address medical issues related to illness which are frequently expected in a 98-year-old.' He further expressed his gratitude towards all his fans for all the love and prayers as he added, 'Your love and prayers are truly appreciated by Saab.' While the legendary actor's fans are praying for his early recovery, a hospital insider told a news agency a day back, 'He was admitted yesterday during the day due to breathlessness. Given his age and recent hospitalisation, the family decided to take him to the hospital as a precautionary measure. He is fine. He is in the ICU so that the doctors can monitor him.' Well, this is the second time the actor has been admitted to the hospital in a month. Earlier, on June 6, he was rushed to the hospital after he complained of breathlessness and was diagnosed with bilateral pleural effusion and was even put on oxygen support. Later, on June 11 after he underwent a successful pleural aspiration procedure, he was discharged from the hospital. At that time also, Faisal Farooqui had only shared the good news of Dilip Kumar going back home on Twitter. He wrote, 'With your love and affection, and your prayers, Dilip Saab is going home from the hospital.' Meanwhile, talking about his work front, Dilip Kumar's career spans over five decades with hits such as 'Mughal-e-Azam', 'Devdas', 'Naya Daur', 'Ram Aur Shyam' and many others. He was last seen in the film 'Qila'.
