I've got a serious cold, headache, congestion, sore throat, no energy, etc and my appetite is killed. Not to mention it literally hurts when whole foods go down. I've been eating soup but it's low calorie and doesn't contain much protein (15g a can) and carbs (44g per can). Eating a ton of cans prob isn't a good idea as it's got 17g of fat a can.
Now I know I should just focus on getting better, but I've been doing pretty well on my bulk and seeing results I don't want to lose all my gains over a cold.
What do you usually do when sick? Since solids are hard to get down, should I just accept the fact I'm going to lose a few lbs, then aim to get my protein macros through shakes to reduce muscle loss? Also should I decrease carbs since I'm resting?
Thanks in advance for help.

Make big shakes in the blender.
1.5 cup of oats
2 tablespoons of peanut butter
2 scoops of whey
1 cup berries
1-2 servings of Greek yogurt
1 cup whole milk
That right there is about 1,240-1,370 calories. Varies depending on brand of whey and yogurt, and whether you do 1 or 2 servings of yogurt.
Don't want as many carbs? Cut down to half cup and toss in another 2 tablespoons of peanut butter.
That 2x a day is 2,480 - 2,740 caloriesWBFF Pro Muscle Model | Questions? Send me a private message.
