KARTET 2021 exam date announced; apply till July 20

NEW DELHI: The government of Karnataka has released the notification for the Teacher Eligibility Test (KARTET) 2021 on its official website. Interested candidates can visit the official website of the department of public instruction — schooleducation.kar.nic.in — to fill up the forms.
The last date to apply for KARTET 2021 is July 20. KARTET 2021 will be held on August 22.
Application Fee
The admit card for KARTET 2021 will be released on August 12, 2021.
All questions in the KARTET test will be 150 multiple-choice questions (MCQs), each carrying one mark, with four alternatives. Out of which one answer will be correct. There will be no negative marking.
There will be two papers of KARTET:
Paper, I will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes I to V.
Paper-II will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes VI to VIII.
Medium of the question paper:
The medium of question paper other than the languages shall be in Kannada, English, Urdu, Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, and Marathi.

KARTET is the minimum qualification for a person to be eligible for an appointment as a teacher.
Application Fee
- General, 2A, 2B, 3A, and 3 - Rs 700 (Paper I or II) - Rs 1000 (Paper I and II)
- SC/ ST/ C1 only - Rs 350 (Paper I or II)- Rs 500 (Paper I and II)
