Dylan Alcott's sexologist girlfriend Chantelle Otten documents her terrifying cancer scare after finding a lump on her breast which 'doubled in size' in a month
Dylan Alcott's partner Chantelle Otten has spoken out about her nightmare cancer scare that has seen her in and out of hospital for the past two months.
On Thursday, the 30-year-old sexologist - who has been dating the Paralympian for two years - shared a video revealing she had discovered a lump on her right breast during a sleepover with her friend.
Chantelle quickly realised something wasn't right, and raced to Melbourne to reunite with Dylan - with the pair waiting six hours in emergency to get an ultrasound and a cell sample.

'[The sample] came back and it didn’t seem like it was cancer, but in the month after the lump doubled in size,' Chantelle recalled.

She was then told that the lump had reached a size of 3cm and was continuing to grow, with the best course of action being to remove it.
After successful surgery, Chantelle returned to the hospital three days after to find out her results - and luckily, there was no cancer in sight.

'I was very lucky… there was no cancer in my boob, just a three centimetre round lump,' Chantelle said.
'It was a condition called PASH - it's not dangerous, it just is what it is.'
According to healthline, Pseudoangiomatous stromal hyperplasia (PASH) is a rare, benign (non-cancerous) breast legion.
It's caused by an overgrowth of myofibroblastic cells, and can affect mostly women at any age.

Despite her positive diagnosis, Chantelle said that the experience as a whole has made her want to teach women how to best check their breasts on a regular basis.
'I’m going to teach (others) how to check your boobies and genitals so we can make sure there are no lumps and bumps in there that we are missing,' she said, promising a video in the near future.
Dylan and Chantelle made their romance public at a tennis event in April 2019.
The sports star met Chantelle at a book signing for his autobiography earlier that year.
