    Share price of Apollo Hospital jumps as Sensex drops 86.57 points

    Share price of Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd. gained 1.16 per cent to Rs 3660.0 at 10:36AM (IST) in Thursday's trade. The stock hit a high of Rs 3660.0 and low of Rs 3611.45 so far during the session. The stock had closed at Rs 3618.15 in the previous session.

    The counter had a total traded volume of 10:36AM shares so far with a turnover of Rs 4.84 crore on BSE. The stock traded at a price-to-earnings multiple of 349.51 and a price-to-book ratio of 4.74.

    A higher P/E ratio shows investors are willing to pay a higher price for per rupee earnings given by the stock because of better future growth expectations.

    The price-to-book value indicates the inherent value of a company and is the measure of the price that investors are ready to pay even for no growth in the business.

    Promoters held 29.82 per cent stake in the company as of 31-Mar-2021, while FIIs and domestic institutional investors ownership stood at 54.51 per cent and 9.25 per cent, respectively.

    The firm reported consolidated net sales of Rs 2888.4 crore for the quarter ended 31-Mar-2021, up 4.45 per cent from the previous quarter's Rs 2765.34 crore and up 1.3 per cent from the year-ago quarter's Rs 2926.38 crore.

    Its profit for the latest quarter stood at Rs 167.86 crore, down 23.48 per cent from the same quarter a year ago.
