Can I do bodybuilding and martial arts at the same time?

I wanna start taking Krav Maga /MMA classes, but I hear a lot on the internet that martial arts and bodybuilding are just not compatible and that you must choose one...
    can I do:
    Monday, Wednesday, Friday - lifting
And Tuesday Thursday - martial arts.

I don't plan on competing in either.. I just want to look good and to know how to defend myself.
    Any advice would be appreciated....Thanks.

Absolutely. Weight lifting and marital arts are a great combination. I like to do marital arts on the weekends and in the mornings. Oh wait, you said martial. Disregard this post.

It depends on how you define “bodybuilding”. If you really mean lifting recreationally with the end goal to look better naked, then it will be fine. If you go a KM gym (or any other martial art) that does some intense calisthenics and stretching work, you may have to dial back the weights some because it will become counterproductive, not to mention fatiguing as all hell, cumulatively.
