Every year, the government provides 12 cylinders weighing 14.2 kilogrammes to each family. Customers must pay market prices for any further LPG cylinder purchases. The govt’s subsidies on the annual quota of 12 refills varies from month to month, and is mostly driven by factors like currency values and crude oil costs.
