Neena Gupta drops a still from her film 'Utsav' as she remembers actor-filmmaker Shankar Nag

Actress Neena Gupta is an avid social media user and enjoys a massive fan following out there. Taking to her Twitter handle, the actress recently got nostalgic and went down memory lane as she dropped a still from her film, 'Utsav' while remembering her co-actor in the film, Shankar Nag. She captioned the post as, 'A still from a beautiful film Utsav with Shankar Nag. Miss you so much Shankar. Gone too soon.' Her post went viral on social media in no time as several fans and friends of hers took to the comment section and remembered the actor. While actor Ramneek Pantal commented, 'Looks like Shah Rukh Khan from the profile', TV actor Sachin Shroff also praised the actor and wrote, 'He was such a fine actor'. For the unversed, actor-filmmaker Shankar was a well-known face in the Marathi and Kannada cinema. He started his career with Marathi theatre and went on to star in several films like '22 June 1897', and Kannada films 'Minchina Ota' and 'Auto Raja'. Shankar Nag passed away at the young age of 35 in September 1990 in a tragic accident. Well, talking about the film, 'Utsav', it was directed by Girish Karnad and produced by Shashi Kapoor. It also featured actors like Shekhar Suman, Rekha, and Shashi Kapoor in pivotal roles. The film was released in the year 1984 but could not meet the expectations of the audience. Shashi Kapoor reportedly ended up losing several crores. Meanwhile, coming back to the actress, Neena Gupta is currently making headlines every other day for revealing more and more secrets from her personal as well as the initial days of her professional life. Talking about the work front, Neena Gupta has resumed shooting for 'Goodbye' alongside Amitabh Bachchan post lockdown 2.0.
