South Korea to expand tax incentive scheme, ease regulations for chipmakers

The South Korean government has announced plans to offer more tax incentives and lift more regulations for chipmakers, Yonhap news agency reports. Via this initiative, the country seeks to develop its memory and non-memory chip business. South Korea seeks to have major research and development projects and facility investments in its chip sector through a law revision, according to the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy.
