New Delhi, Jul 1 (UNI) Vice-President M Venkaiah Naidu turned 72 on Thursday and wishes poured in for him from leaders across political circles.
President Ram Nath Kovind Naidu said "Greetings and good wishes to Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu Ji on his birthday. May God bless you with a happy, healthy and long fruitful life dedicated to the service of the nation."
Union Home Minister Amit Shah tweeted, 'Wishing a very happy birthday to the Vice President of India, Shri M Venkaiah Naidu Ji. His wisdom and experience are our continuous sources of inspiration. May almighty bless him with good health and a long life.'
Andhra Pradesh Governor Bishwabhushan Harichandan and several other leaders from the Andhra Pradesh extended birthday wishes to Mr Naidu. The Governor of AP, took to Twitter and said, “Dear Sri @MVenkaiahNaidu ji, I along with people of #AndhraPradesh extend my heartiest felicitations & warm greetings on your birthday. May Lord Jagannath & Lord Venkateswara shower their blessings for good health, long life & guide Nation with your wise leadership,” tweeted Harichandan.
Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) supremo N Chandrababu Naidu also extended birthday greetings to the Vice President. He said, 'As the full embodiment of Telugu (culture) and as a person who always strives for the development of Telugu language and people at any capacity, I wish good health and prosperity to you.'
Similarly, Andhra Pradesh BJP chief Somu Veerraju also conveyed his greetings to Mr Naidu.
'You (Venkaiah Naidu) have worked hard for the development of the country and its people for decades together,' said Veerraju. He also prayed for the Vice President's good health and long life in service to the nation.
Thanking people for all the wishes, Mr Naidu said, 'I am humbled by the warm birthday wishes from my friends and well-wishers. Your love and affection inspires me everyday to do better in the service of the nation.'
Naidu was born on this day in 1949 in Chavatapalem in Andhra Pradesh.
