    ICICI Lombard shares gain 1.58% as Sensex falls

    The stock quoted a 52-week high of Rs 1625.0 and a 52-week low of Rs 1201.0.

    The Dow Jones Industrial Average finished up 1,048.86 points, or 5.20 per cent, to 21,237.38 on Tuesday. The S&P500 index increased 143.06 points, or 6.00 per cent, to 2,529.19.
    Shares of General Insurance Company Ltd. traded 1.58 per cent higher in Thursday's session at 10:25AM (IST). The stock opened at Rs 1588.0 and has touched an intraday high and low of Rs 1593.95 and Rs 1572.7, respectively, during the session so far.

    The stock quoted a 52-week high of Rs 1625.0 and a 52-week low of 1201.0. About 4,157 shares changed hands on the counter so far.

    Benchmark Nifty50 was down 0.05 points at 15721.45, while the BSE Sensex traded 16.99 points lower at 52465.72 at the time of writing of this report.

    For the quarter ended 31-Mar-2021, the company reported consolidated sales of Rs 920.72 crore, up 103.68 per cent from the previous quarter's Rs 452.05 crore and up 55.11 per cent from the year-ago quarter. The company reported net profit of Rs 345.68 crore for the latest quarter.

    Promoter Holdings
    Promoters held 51.88 per cent stake in the company as of 31-Mar-2021, while FIIs held 29.9 per cent and MFs 9.85 per cent.

    Technicals
    On the technical charts, the 200-Day Moving Average (DMA) of the stock stood at Rs 1419.71 on July 01, while the 50-DMA was at Rs 1485.76. If a stock trades above 50-DMA and 200-DMA, it usually means the immediate trend is upward. On the other hand, if the stock trades well below 50-DMA and 200-DMA both, it is considered as bearish trend and if trades between these averages, then it suggests the stock can go either way.
