Former South African Sevens player Kevin Foote has been confirmed as the new coach of the Melbourne Rebels, replacing South African Dave Wessels.
The 42-year-old, who joined the franchise in 2018, has been operating as interim coach since Wessels announced his departure in April.
"I'm very grateful for everyone at the Melbourne Rebels for giving me this great opportunity to lead a really special group of dedicated, determined young men," Foote said.
"We've got an exciting group of players, with some fantastic talent coming through, which will create good competition for spots amongst the current group."
Foote represented the Blitzboks between 2002 and 2004.
