Telefonica Germany aims to cover all mobile dead spots by 2024

Thursday 1 July 2021 | 16:58 CET | News
The chief executive officer of Telefonica Germany, Markus Haas, said in an interview with Focus Online that Telefonica will reach full coverage of dead spots by 2024, in cooperation with Deutsche Telekom and Vodafone. Telefonica cooperates with Deutsche Telekom and Vodafone to share infrastructure in areas with no or weak coverage. As part of the white spot sharing agreement, the partners will build up to 6,000 transmitters over the next three years to close the white spots. The federal government will then expand transmission at a further 5,000 sites to supply extremely remote areas.
